One enthusiastic diner raved about their burrito—an enormous delight filled with beef, chicken, shrimp, and chorizo—perfectly capturing the spirit of indulgence.
While the food often shines, the experience is elevated by the lively ambiance. Imagine enjoying your meal while listening to a live band, as one patron described a Cinco de Mayo celebration featuring impressive talent that made the evening unforgettable. Such moments highlight El Torero's commitment not only to providing tasty dishes but also to creating memorable experiences.
However, not every aspect has thrilled diners. Some reviews have pointed out areas for improvement, particularly regarding the texture and flavors of certain dishes. One customer noted that while the taco salad was plentiful, it lacked the expected zest and depth. Another mentioned that a thinner salsa could use a bit more body. Despite these critiques, it is important to recognize that culinary tastes can vary widely, and El Torero remains a beloved staple for many in the area.

“ The food ans service was good, but what really blew me out of the park was the music played this Cinco de mayo was really something else, the band (48th drive) the type of talent that fills stadiums and the fact that it was playing free with a meal baffled me. The amount of talent the group carried was insane, the lead singers vocal range was beyond impressive and the way they executed the songs they played truly made me a fan and a half, the whole band showed so much promise and talent, the type of talent I would pay 600 dollars to see, had to stay after the food 30 extra minutes just to listen to them play I was so impressed:) ”
“ Late lunch on a Friday afternoon. No crowd so immediately seated. Plenty of parking but arrangement is odd so if there is a crowd, be careful. Clean. Decor was generic Hispanic. Large menu with a specific lunch selection. We chose a Mini-taco Salad and the El Torero (burrito, refried beans, rice). The standard chips and salsa appeared. Lots of chips, not much salsa. The salsa was thin and watery. But Cole slaw also appeared which was weird. The food came quickly. The taco salad was indeed "mini". Five or six bites at the most. There was plenty of chicken but my partner didn't care for the taste of the shell. My El Torero was OK. Dried out ground meat instead of shredded beef in the burrito. The refried beans were the consistency of water. It was served with two tomato slices instead of diced tomato. Weird. All food is judged on taste and this food was boring. No citrus "zing". No heat. No texture. Boring. There are darn few eateries in the area featuring Hispanic food. If there is no demand then the eateries have no reason to improve the product and El Torero's food needs improving. ”
“ Monday night, and this restaurant was busy busy busy. The food was amazing! My margaritas were some of the best I've ever had. Our service was outstanding. They really take great pride in their customers' satisfaction. It was truly a tremendous meal and experience! BTW, our burritos were as long as from my elbow to the tip of my index finger. Stuffed with beef, chicken, shrimp, & chorizo. Absolutely the biggest freakin' thing I've ever seen. ”
“ Certainly what I would expect to see in Mexico, complete with Cantina bar. Food good, although I'm used to hot corn tortillas. Ordered 1 chicken and one beef taco with corn taco, came with beans and rice. The usual appetizer of chips with salsa and coleslaw. Pretty good with a chunky salsa. Overall was good. ”
